Pregnancy is an exciting time for a family. But when high risk complications arise, having a professional, caring, and trustworthy source for care and information is crucial. Dr. Heywood believes that every woman should be able to ask questions about these issues and should never leave the office without understanding the answers, as well as the plan of care.

Dr. Heywood has also been through two complicated pregnancies herself (including twins!) and is empathetic to your worries and concerns.

Her interests include reading, music, writing, and spending time with her family and pets. She spent three years working for a music magazine and interviewed such artists as Chicago, Def Leppard, Yes, and Steve Vai. She also spent a month in Italy singing in an opera program.
