- Emergency behavioral health clinicians are mental health providers who provide risk assessments and recommendations for behavioral health needs in the emergency room setting. Recommendations can include hospitalization, observation, release to home, and referral to outpatient services for follow-up care.
- Nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and licensed drug and alcohol counselors (LADC) provide care to patients in acute psychiatric distress, often presenting in the form of mood instability, psychosis, and/or suicidality.
- Our Mental Health Consult Service provides an avenue for treatment teams to access psychiatry, psychology, and substance use services throughout the hospital.
- Psychiatry, psychology, and licensed alcohol and drug counselors provide consultation involving substance abuse issues, trauma, grief and loss, and acute mental health needs of our patients, such as: depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia.
