Mental Health - Inpatient

Approach To Care

Dr. Eduardo Trinidad, MD, specializes in adult psychiatry. His focus includes psychiatric care of medically ill individuals in an inpatient settings, electroconvulsive therapy, psychiatric consultations, rapid access and brief treatments. His approach to care is to develop a comprehensive treatment plan to manage the issues, while not being a burden to comply. He sees behavioral health and medical problems not as separate issues but connected, and neither can be optimized without addressing the other.

Successful treatment planning by Dr. Trinidad involves working to minimize medications that are often prescribed by previous providers, which may result in extensive medication lists with challenging regimens to follow. Interventions involve medication review, nonpharmaceutical interventions and patient-centered practices. He works with each client to develop plans from their first visit, so each person has a unique plan to fit their goals.

He sees individuals at Robbinsdale Hospital as an Inpatient Psychiatry Attending.
