Approach To Care

Ella is a board-certified physician assistant trained in general medicine, equipped to evaluate and treat patients of all ages—from acute problems to preventive care and chronic disease management.

She views the clinician–patient relationship as a true partnership, taking time to understand her patients’ lives, environments, and beliefs to better tailor their care. Ella acknowledges the significance of life’s challenges on all aspects of health and seeks to foster hope and resilience in spite of them.

Her practice is centered on evidence-based medicine—whether that medicine comes from the pharmacy or healthy lifestyle habits. She is committed to providing clear, digestible patient education and wants every patient to leave their visit with a deeper understanding of their health, as well as clarity about their options and plan moving forward.

She is passionate about primary care and preventive medicine, and she has special interests in women’s healthcare throughout the lifespan.

I partner with patients as teammates, supporting them in navigating challenges and reaching their health goals.

Outside of medicine, she volunteers as a hockey coach with Minnesota Special Hockey and serves on the Board of Directors for the Grief Club of Minnesota, advocating for children and families grieving the loss of a child or parent. Her passion for grief advocacy stems from personal experience with out-of-order loss as a young adult.

In her spare time, Ella enjoys cheering on Gopher hockey, doing Pilates workout classes, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Her core beliefs are grounded in her strong faith and love for family, friends, and community.
