Stroke Patient Movement Therapy

North Memorial offers the following movement therapy programs to increase and strengthen stroke survivors' mobility and strength.

Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT)
CIMT is a two-week intensive therapy program for qualifying stroke patients that potentially increases arm or leg function. Hands-on care combines physical and occupational therapy to stimulate the brain into "repairing its circuitry" so that stroke survivors might regain increased function of their paralyzed limbs.

Exercise by Design Fitness Program
This program improves fitness after stroke through a special exercise program that begins with a personal fitness evaluation and includes professional assistance to develop an exercise program that's right for you. Upon completion, receive a re-evaluation of your fitness and recommendations for further exercise on your own.
