New Grad/Acute Care Entry (ACE) Program

North Memorial helps make the transition to acute care nursing from student or other nursing career easier through our Acute Care Entry (ACE) program. The program offers nurses just starting their acute care career the opportunity to be surrounded by education, support and mentoring - giving them the best opportunity to succeed and find career fulfillment. The curriculum enhances patient management skills such as resource utilization, crisis management, clinical skills and communication with patients and their families as well as co-workers

ACE is designed to help you feel confident and comfortable in your new career - and includes:

  • Six weeks hands-on learning on a patient unit under the instruction, guidance and mentorship of a North Memorial preceptor (teacher)
  • Nine class days, each addressing relevant nursing topics
  • Twenty weeks of formal mentorship relationships with key individuals through the North Memorial organization
  • Help with formulating a personalized long-term career and education plan utilizing North Memorial continued learning opportunities along with other local and national opportunities
  • Getting to know co-workers from your immediate work area as well as from other key areas of North Memorial

North Memorial is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
