Critical Care/SUCCEED Program

Through the SUCCEED program, North Memorial provides tools to build efficient and effective critical care nursing skills. Our nationally acclaimed Emergency and Trauma Services with Level 1 Trauma verification provide powerful opportunities to learn, grow and enjoy personal and professional success.

Participants must have at least one-year medical or surgical nursing experience and a strong desire to succeed in caring for critically ill patients. The twelve-week education program includes a variety of learning opportunities via classroom instruction, skill simulation, clinical experience and self-study.

SUCCEED participants are supported by key individuals including a resource educator, preceptor (teacher) and manager. Planned and informal meetings provide opportunities to discuss progress and goals, as well as personal and professional development.

SUCCEED is designed to help you feel confident and comfortable as part of a critical care team through teaching:

  • problem solving and crisis management
  • time management
