Dr. Bardo-Martinson brings an inspiring dedication to hospice patients and their families. She is board certified in internal medicine, as well as hospice and palliative care.
Dr. Daniel Frenning is board certified in oncology and hematology. Dr. Frenning received his undergraduate degree from the College of St. Thomas. He completed his medical training at the University of Minnesota, where he also finished a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Oncology Fellowship.
Dr. Levine received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and his fellowship in hematology, oncology and transplantation at the University of Minnesota. He enjoys all of the many complexities of hematology and oncology and has specific interests in esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer and lymphomas.
Avanti Mehrotra, MD serves as the medical director at Humphrey Cancer Center. Her professional specialties include all medical oncology and hematology with special emphasis on lung cancer, head and neck cancer, multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, pregnancy associated hematological conditions and coagulation problems. She is the medical oncology leader for multidisciplinary lung cancer care at North Memorial and the chair of the Cancer Committee at the hospital.
Dr. Meenakshi (Meena) Thirunavu specializes in treating both hematologic and oncologic malignancies. Her special areas of interest include cancers of the breast and brain, coagulation disorders and genetics of familial cancers. Her professional affiliations include American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American Medical Association.
Dr. Wang treats various hematological and oncological conditions with special emphasis in Genitourinary malignancy (prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicle), thoracic malignancy and Melanoma. He is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.
Christine Wiese is a board-certified nurse practitioner whose clinical speecial interests include all oncology and hematology and acute care oncologic emergencies.
Dr. Solfelt is leading a multi-disciplinary approach at North Memorial in the treatment of lung cancer and other diseases of the chest cavity. He joins the North Memorial Cardiovascular Surgery group after 14 years of private practice. His focus is non-cardiac thoracic surgery with an emphasis in oncology.
Ashley Deckman is a board-certified genetic counselor whose professional affiliations include the Minnesota Genetic Counselors Association as well as the National Society of Genetic Counselors. In addition to her work with cancer genetics through the Humphrey Cancer Center, Ashley also provides prenatal genetic counseling for North Memorial's Maternal Fetal Medicine Center.
Barbara Kunz is a board-certified genetic counselor with over 14 years of experience at the Humphrey Cancer Center. She has a special interest in providing education to the public and to other health care providers regarding advances in cancer genetics.
Joy Larsen-Haidle is a board-certified genetic counselor with more than 18 years of experience in counseling hereditary cancer genetics. She has a special interest in public policy, appropriate utilization of genetic tests, and identifying individuals/families at increased cancer risk that might benefit from heightened surveillance or risk reduction.
