Dr. Wang treats various hematological and oncological conditions with special emphasis in Genitourinary malignancy (prostate, kidney, bladder, and testicle), thoracic malignancy and Melanoma.  He is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Wang received his medical degree from Peking University health science center. He then pursued graduate degree in the field of bioinformatics at University of Illinois at Chicago. After he finished the internal medicine residency at John Stroger Hospital of Cook County, formerly Cook County hospital in Chicago, he came to University of Minnesota for fellowship training in department of hematology, medical oncology and stem cell transplantation.

Dr. Wang is a member of America Association for Cancer Research, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and Association of Minnesota Chinese Physician.  Prior to joining North Memorial Hospital, Dr. Wang had been involved in various basic and clinical research in cancer field, including cancer prevention using Selenium supplementation, oncolytic virus therapy and immune therapy for non small cell lung cancer. His work has been published in several peer reviewed journals. Dr. Wang was awarded NIH training grant during the fellowship training and his work of using natural killer cells to target non small cell lung cancer won the travel award for annual fellow research presentation of Mayo clinic hematology/oncology reviews.

Dr. Wang is married with two young children.  Dr. Wang enjoys playing volleyball, golf.  He is also active in serving local Chinese community, promoting health care communication between China and US.
