The emotional needs of a family often intensify after a loved one dies, and North Memorial Hospice provides support to help during the grieving process. Our Bereavement Follow-up Program helps families during the difficult days following a loss. Support groups and individual counseling sessions for adults and children are also available.
Children's support services include support groups for children and their parents, grief counseling and referral services, and programs and individual counseling for children and families who have a family member diagnosed with a life-threatening illness.
Adult support services include support groups that meet once a week for an eight-week period. There are separate groups for spouses and other family members. Individual grief counseling is available, as well as referrals to other community resources.
For more information, please contact North Memorial's Hospice Family Support Coordinator at 763-520-4834 (24-hour voice messaging is available; please leave your name, address and phone number). There is no charge for any of these groups. However, pre-registration is necessary because of limited group size.
