Partnership for Change Promotes Awareness, and Prevention of, Prescription Drug Abuse

by North Memorial

Based at North Memorial Medical Center, Partnership for Change is a local coalition of youth, parents, schools, law enforcement, and community groups that are working together to reduce drug use among youth and young adults in northwest Hennepin County. The organization's effort to heighten awareness around prescription drug abuse was recently featured on Channel 12, Northwest Community Television News, FOX 9 News and KARE 11 News.

In 2010, 38,000 people nationwide died from drug abuse – more than from either car accidents or gunshot wounds. Experts say easy access to medicine is to blame for the crisis. Partnership For Change is spotlighting the epidemic with the following new video.
