Stefan De Boel, MD

Dr. Stefan De Boel is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He earned his medical degree at the University of Brussels Medical School in Belgium. He completed internal medicine residencies at the University of Brussels and Hennepin County Medical Center and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to joining North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. De Boel practiced at MeritCare Health System in Fargo, ND.

Ethan Fruechte, MD

Dr. Ethan Fruechte is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Fruechte earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Hennepin County Medical Center and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Subash Harwalkar, MD

Dr. Subash Harwalkar is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. His clinical interests include non-invasive imaging. Dr. Harwalkar earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Pradesh, India. He completed an internal medicine residency and a cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota where he was also a clinical instructor in the department of cardiology.

Douglas Hodgkin, MD, PhD

Dr. Douglas Hodgkin is a cardiology physician who specializes in electrophysiology. Dr. Hodgkin earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University Medical School in California. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado, his cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota and his cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at Bowman-Gray School of Medicine.

Bobbi Hoppe, MD

Dr. Hoppe earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a cardiology fellowship and a cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at the University of California in San Diego.

Alok Maheshwari, MD

Dr. Maheshwari is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.  His clinical practice includes interventional cardiology, trans-catheter closure of ASD/PFOs, peripheral endovascular interventions, general and non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology.

Mary McLaurin, MD

Dr. McLaurin earned her medical degree from the University of North Dakota Medical School. She completed an internal medicine internship and an internal medicine residency at Hennepin County Medical Center where she was chief resident in internal medicine. Dr. McLaurin completed her cardiovascular training, with a nuclear cardiology certification, and a chief fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Pamela Paulsen, MD

Dr. Paulsen earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She completed her post-doctoral training in internal medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and a cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

Steven Roh, MD

Dr. Steven Roh is board certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Roh earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the University of Minnesota, his cardiology fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University and his interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

A. Jody Rowland, MD

Dr. Rowland earned her medical degree from Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago. She completed a cardiovascular disease internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics.

Paul Sander, MD

Dr. Paul Sander is board certified in cardiology, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology. His clinical practice areas include echocardiography and diagnostic catheterization. Dr. Sander earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospital & Clinics.

Retu Saxena, MD

Dr. Retu Saxena is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Saxena earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a residency and fellowship at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. She also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine while at Oregon Health Sciences University. Prior to joining North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Saxena directed the echocardiography lab and ran the women's heart program at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque.

Wendy Shear, MD

Dr. Wendy Shear is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Dr. Shear earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. She completed a cardiovascular disease and an interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Shear is currently an assistant professor in the department of medicine at the University of Minnesota.

George Tadros, MD

Dr. George Tadros is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. His clinical areas of interest include coronary and peripheral intervention with emphasis on vascular medicine. Dr. Tadros earned his medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA and completed cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Minnesota. He also earned a master's of science degree in clinical research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.

Richard Taylor, MD

Dr. Richard Taylor is board certified in cardiovascular disease and electrophysiology. Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles. He also completed cardiology and electrophysiology fellowships at the Wadsworth Veterans Administration Hospital in Los Angeles. Prior to joining North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. Taylor practiced in Duluth and Minneapolis.

Tina Allenburg, ANP

Tina Allenburg is certified as an adult nurse practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Tina earned her B.A. degrees in nursing and nutrition from St. Olaf College. She earned her ANP/MA in nursing from the College of St. Catherine. Additionally, she is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Rita Healy, CNP

Rita Healy is a certified nurse practitioner with a clinical special interest in cardiology. Rita earned her B.S. degree in nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings. She completed the certificate program as an adult nurse practitioner at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul. Rita currently serves on the North Memorial Heart Failure Committee.

Darcy Theisen, MSN, RN, CNP

Darcy Theisen is a certified nurse practitioner with a clinical special interest in cardiology. Darcy earned her B.S. degree in nursing from Minot State University. She completed the UCLA/harbor nurse practitioner program in women's healthcare and received her M.S. in nursing from the University of Minnesota.

Jessica Wageman, PA-C

Jessican Wageman is a NCCPA board-certified physician assistant with a clinical special interest in cardiology. Jessica earned her B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. She completed her master of physician assistant studies at Des Moines University. Jessica is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
