If you don't use your smart phone or tablet as a health tool, here are two free apps to get you started: iTriage, for checking symptoms and locating nearby care facilities, and MyChart, for accessing personal health records, making appointments and more. Each one is available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
Founded by two emergency medicine physicians, iTriage is a free mobile app and website that helps answer the two most common medical questions: “What could be wrong?” and “Where can I go?”. Certain organizations such as North Memorial offer enhanced listings to help iTriage users choose the most appropriate level of care.
