Dr. Craig Matticks has special clinical interests in procedural sedation and the management of patients in shock, but finds the breadth of emergency medicine the most appealing.

Dr. Matticks has practiced clinically at North Memorial for 18 years as a residency-trained, board-certified emergency physician. For the last eight years he has also enjoyed the opportunities and challenges that physician leadership presents in his role as the medical director of emergency services. He enjoys endurance activities such as nordic skiing, marathon running, triathlons and parenting. His greatest joy though comes from being with his wife, kids and their families.
