House committee selects North Memorial for Maple Grove hospital
On Monday, April 4, 2005, the Health Policy and Finance Committee of the House of Representatives introduced and supported an amendment that specified North Memorial as their choice to build a hospital in Maple Grove. The bill, which was sponsored by Representative Joyce Peppin and Representative Kurt Zellers will now move to the House of Representatives floor for a vote.
Regarding the Senate, this issue will be heard in the Health and Human Services Budget Division chaired by Senator Berglin. On Wednesday, April 6, the committee will be hearing the Department of Health's report.
