At the January 17, 2006 Maple Grove City Council meeting, the mayor and council members took a leadership position regarding the Maple Grove hospital issue. They voted 5-0 to endorse the North Memorial/Fairview partnership and instructed the city administrator to have a formal resolution created that would be voted on at a later date. In their discussion, they recognized that both of the hospital proposals met the criteria that have been discussed this past year, but felt there were additional factors they needed to consider as a city council.
