Dr. John Lyng is board-certified in emergency medicine and board-eligible in emergency medical services and disaster medicine. He has special interest in pre-hospital patient care, pediatric emergency medicine, trauma management, and international emergency medicine.

Dr. Lyng is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians (NAEMSP). He serves on several local and regional committees involved in pre-hospital patient care. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities including running, kayaking, and fishing, as well as international travel and the performing arts.
