Dr. Levine received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and his fellowship in hematology, oncology and transplantation at the University of Minnesota.  He enjoys all of the many complexities of hematology and oncology and has specific interests in esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer and lymphomas.

Before entering clinical practice he was interested in the development of novel small molecules for the treatment of cancer, and he is a co-inventor of a series of recently patented molecules that have potent anti-cancer activities.  Prior to joining North Memorial, he was a staff hematologist/oncologist at Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic in Duluth, Minnesota.  Dr. Levine is licensed to practice medicine in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  He holds board certifications in Internal medicine, Hematology and Medical oncology.  He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

In his free time, Dr. Levine enjoys running, spending time with his wife, Marina, and chasing after their twins Samuel and Sarah.
