better.

North Memorial is well known as one of the leading emergency and trauma centers in Minnesota. But there's much more to the North Memorial Health Care system. Besides our hospitals in Robbinsdale and Maple Grove, you can find 12 primary care clinics and many other specialty care clinics, all dedicated to helping you feel better. That's what it's all about at North Memorial.

The leader in joint replacement

Our Joint Replacement Center is all about helping people get back to the activities they enjoy faster and with less pain. In addition to knee replacements and traditional hip replacements, North Memorial has the area's most experienced surgeons in anterior hip replacements.

Our Joint Replacement Center team includes specially trained and experienced board-certified orthopedic surgeons, nurses and physical therapists specializing in total joint care. Every detail, from pre-surgical teaching to post-surgical exercise, is reviewed with you.

Concussion Management Program

Concussion Management at North Memorial is about ensuring a safe return to activity for young athletes after they've suffered an injury – particularly after a concussion.

Neurocognitive testing is a cornerstone of proper post-injury care and contributes significantly to the understanding of recovery following a concussion. We provide an assessment called ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). It's a software tool used to evaluate multiple aspects of neurocognitive function, including memory, attention, brain processing speed, reaction time and post-concussion symptoms.

A leader in cardiac care

At North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute, treating heart attacks is all about results. The faster we open the coronary artery, the better the outcomes for our patients. Our caregivers rank within the top 5% nationally for the time it takes to open a blocked artery.

We also help people with cardiovascular disease and at-risk patients lead a healthier and more active lifestyle. A multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, dieticians and exercise physiologists provide expertise and guidance in risk-factor management, supervised exercise and support for individuals and families making lifestyle changes.
