Stefan De Boel, MD
Dr. De Boel is a graduate of the University of Brussels Medical School in Belgium. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Brussels and Hennepin County Medical Center as well as a cardiology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to joining North Memorial Heart & Vascular Institute, Dr. De Boel had practiced at MeritCare Health System in Fargo, ND since 1991. He is board certified in internal medicine and in cardiovascular diseases.

Gary D. Hanovich, MD
Dr. Hanovich earned his medical degree at Washington University in St. Louis and completed internship and residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Iowa. Dr. Hanovich has been with North Memorial’s cardiology group (formerly called CVC) since its inception in July 1976 and currently heads our Clinical Research Department. Additionally, Dr. Hanovich currently presides as the ACC Minnesota Governor.

Subash Harwalkar, MD
Dr. Harwalkar is a graduate of the Osmania Medical College in Pradesh, India. His residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in cardiology were completed at the University of Minnesota where he was also a clinical instructor in the Department of Cardiology. Dr. Harwalkar is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in cardiovascular disease. His clinical interests include non-invasive imaging.

Dr. McGinn earned his medical degree at St. Louis University and completed his internship and residency at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Minnesota and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Veterans' Administration Hospitals. Dr. McGinn is board certified in cardiology.

Dr. McLaurin's cardiovascular training was completed at the University of Minnesota with a Nuclear Cardiology Certification. She completed a chief fellowship at the University of Minnesota.

At the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, Dr. Saxena directed the echocardiography lab and ran the women's heart program. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School. Her residency and fellowship were completed at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, where she also completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Saxena is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Dr. Tadros is a graduate of the Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. Dr. Tadros also earned a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Research from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. His clinical interests include coronary and peripheral intervention with emphasis on vascular medicine.

Alicia Dykstra is a graduate of Bethel University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing. She then attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire completing her Master of Science in Nursing. Alicia is Board Certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. She has experience in coronary intensive care and telemetry providing care to critically ill patients. Alicia is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Greater Twin Cities Area American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau. She is also a volunteer with Ramsey County Medical Reserve Corps.

Georgeanna is a graduate of St. Benedicts College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then attended the University of Minnesota completing her Master of Science Degree; Board Certified with the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has experience in primary care, rural health, and urgent care; with a special interest in internal medicine. Currently her focus is acute cardiac care, with the majority of her practice being hospital based care.
