Prevention and Early Detection

It's important to detect cancer early, when treatment is most effective. The staff of the Humphrey Cancer Center works with your primary care and specialty physicians to help you learn about what steps you can take to prevent cancer, and how to detect it as early as possible. In addition to providing educational resources to the community through written materials, presentations and screening events, we are involved in several community events to raise awareness of the importance of cancer prevention and early detection, such as:

  • Twin Cities Komen Foundation Race for the Cure
  • American Cancer Society Relay for Life
  • North Memorial Medical Center Men's Health Program
