A team of health care professionals is available to provide important services to patients of the Humphrey Cancer Center, including:

Pastoral care

Chaplains who can address concerns of all faiths are available 24 hours a day to respond to your spiritual and emotional needs.

Home health

A full range of home care services is available to provide you with the care and support you need through your cancer experience. Services include skilled nursing, rehabilitation, nutrition supervision, medication instruction, social services and homemaking assistance.

Social services

Social Services uses a network of community resources to help you and your family cope with the changes caused by cancer and its treatment. Social workers can help you with medical issues, emotional needs, financial concerns and care after hospitalization.

Nutrition services

Dietitians are available to speak with you about how to eat well in order to feel as well as possible during your illness.

Rehabilitation

You can discuss your daily physical needs with your physician. Physical and occupational therapy services are available as needed.

Hospice

If care shifts from active treatment to needing comfort and support at the end of life, hospice services are available. Patient care is provided in the best and most comfortable setting, including your own home, in a comfortable inpatient unit, or in a residential hospice.
