Diagnosis and Treatment options

Cancer Registry

The cancer registry collects data on patients diagnosed with cancer. Data for all patients diagnosed or treated for cancer at North Memorial Medical Center, the Humphrey Cancer Center, North Radiation Therapy and at the offices of physicians on North Memorial's medical staff are included in the registry. The registry collects information such as diagnosis, extent of disease, treatment and outcome for each cancer patient. This information is used to improve cancer prevention and cancer patient care.

Statistical data collected by the Cancer Registry is used to help us learn about the prevalence and incidence of specific types of cancer, to evaluate treatment outcomes or to develop future treatment protocols.

All registry information is strictly confidential. Patients are never identified in any registry report.

We care about our patient's progress. We care about their future and the future of their children. Through collection of this information, we are better able to help achieve the goal of controlling and eradicating cancer.
