Nurse Navigators
Diagnostic patients at Hope Chest Breast Center of North Memorial have a single point of contact throughout their experience - a nurse navigator.
Nurse navigators are professionals with advanced training in the specialty area of breast
services. Offering personal, one-on-one attention, they answer questions, provide information, serve as patient advocates and coordinate care. They know the diagnosis and treatment process, and they can convey that information to you in a way you can understand.
In the case of a breast cancer diagnosis, they are available to listen and to hold a hand if necessary. They work closely with the you, your family and your medical team to make sure appropriate decisions are made, and that you receive the care you need in a timely manner.
