North Memorial Clinic - Golden Valley

Dr. Bixby graduated from the Abraham Lincoln School of Medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago and attended residency at the University of Minnesota / North Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program. Following training he practiced for 10 years in Burnett County, Wisconsin before returning to the Twin Cities to join the faculty at the Family Medicine Residency Program at North Memorial.

He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and practices the full scope of Family Medicine, although most of his current work with patients is now in the hospital setting.

Dr. Bixby currently serves as the medical director for North Memorial’s primary care clinics.

In addition to full spectrum Family Medicine, he is interested in medical education and wilderness medicine. In his free time he likes to cross country ski in the winter and swim and paddle canoes and kayaks in the summer.
