North Memorial’s NICU offers the highest level of care available in the northwest metro for the most critically ill neonate. We offer family-centered developmental care from the birth of the critically ill neonate all the way through discharge.
Family Birth Center Tours
This is a group tour for anyone who would like to visit the Family Birth Center at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. You can register for a Family Birth Center Tour online. Tours are offered every other Tuesday at 6 p.m. or the second Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. There is no cost to participate.

All North Memorial childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care classes, including online education, are now offered through a partnership with Amma Parenting Center. Amma Parenting Center is a one-stop resource for new and expecting parents to get the education and support they need. From childbirth classes to lactation support and beyond, Amma offers it all.
Classes will be held at the following locations and taught by Amma's educators. Amma Parenting Center's class menu covers support and education for families both before and after the baby arrives.
- Maplewood Professional Building (on the St. John's Hospital campus)
- St. Joseph's Hospital in downtown St. Paul
- Woodwinds Health Campus in Woodbury
- Amma Parenting Center in Edina

You're invited to take classes at any of the four locations, regardless of where you plan to give birth. Prenatal classes fill quickly, so please register early to have the best chance at getting the class of your choice.
