Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology Ltd

Dr. Irfan Altafullah is interested in all aspects of neurology, but particularly in the prevention and treatment of stroke. For the past decade, he has been the Director of the Stroke Center at North Memorial Medical Center. Although a significant part of his practice includes patients with stroke, he also likes to see patients with other neurological conditions such as MS, Parkinson's disease and seizures. He believes that every person's situation is unique and likes to listen to patients tell him their stories in their own words. His aim is always to tailor each patient's treatment to suit the individual. He feels blessed to have become a physician and to have the opportunity to help people.

Dr. Altafullah is board-certified in adult neurology, clinical neurophysiology and vascular neurology. He is a former Chief of Medical Staff and Member of the Board of Trustees of North Memorial Medical Center, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Minneapolis Clinic of Neurology. He also serves as the Chief Medical Information Officer at North Memorial Medical Center and is involved with the deployment of the electronic health record. He has always been interested in teaching students and residents and is a Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Minnesota.
